When Kanye West unveils a new sneaker, hip-hop and sneaker heads alike pay attention. The Yeezy 750 Boost, the rapper’s collaboration with Adidas, created frenzy on social media when photos of the kicks began circulating last week. From Twitter to Instagram, there were mixed reactions across the board.

Now that Adidas confirmed the sneaker would officially drop today (Feb. 14) and the limited release of the gray colorway includes just 9,000 pairs, West’s new product will continue to dominate the conversation in the hip-hop community for much of the weekend.

To find out what people really think about the Yeezy 750 Boost, XXL hit the streets of New York City, where a select number of the shoe will be released. There’s a general consensus when it comes to the sneaker, which proves “Yeezy Season” is here. Watch what the streets have to say about the Chi-town MC’s collabo with Adidas.
