Kaplan Family Loses Everything In Fire, Asks For Your Help

Earlier in the week we reported about a Kaplan family who lost everything in a house fire; they are now reaching out to the community for a helping hand.

Scott and Judy Owens lost their home, and all of its contents, over the weekend. They have one son, and a 9 week-old puppy

A message was sent earlier today to outline their specific needs:

UPDATE ON FIRE RECOVERY:

Ethan - Pants 10 /12, Shirts Youth 8/10/12 M/L, boy belt, Shoes 2/3/4 youth.
Scott - Pants 4x 28Length, Shirts - 3XLT, Men's belt 58, Shoes - specialty order due to gout/foot problems ($150), Mach 3 razors,
Judy - Pants Women's 24 Petite length, Shirt 22/24 or 24/26 - 3X/4X, Shoes 8 1/2 W. Fab laundry detergent, Christmas Elf, pet carrier (9 week old beagle puppy), Puppy food, Lever 2000 soap or Dove Sensitive. Both Scott and Judy are on several medications and will need replacements. Scott teaches at Lafayette Middle and needs appropriate type Shirts. My daughter needs thoughts and prayers also as she lost lots of memorabilia and belongings stored here since she was flooded back in August. Ethan is asking for Transformers and books (baseballs heros, dinosaur info, science info, cartoons, Magic School bus, Adoption books, puppy care), baseball equipment, Cub Scouting equipment.
