Kendrick Lamar has called himself the greatest before on such songs as "untitled 07" and now he teams up with Sia for a track called "The Greatest," off the singer's upcoming album We Are Your Children. Sia has collaborated with rappers in the past, sining on Kanye West's "Wolves" and pairing up with Sean Paul for "Cheap Thrills" earlier this year. Chance The Rapper as well referenced her on "Ultralight Beam," rapping "My daughter look just like Sia, you can't see her."

On "The Greatest," Kendrick spits a  brief verse on working hard and paying dues, rapping, "I transform with pressure, I’m hands-on with effort / I fell twice before my bounce back was special / Letdowns will get you and the critics will test you / But the strong survive, another scar may bless you."

For Kendrick, the new verse follows a much longer one on DJ Khaled's "Holy Key," what was the first display of new music from the rapper since he dropped untitled unmastered. in early March. Last week he appeared on Isaiah Rashad's new track "Wat's Wrong," and though K. Dot only provided background vocals for "By Any Means" on Schoolboy Q's Blank Face this past July, he and the other Black Hippy cohorts remixed Q's "THat Part" with full verses.
