Another Acadiana native has made it through on NBC's "The Voice," and this time she comes to us from Abbeville. Koryn Hawthorne is the second person from Acadiana to make it to the next round of competition on "The Voice."

The 17-year-old singing sensation from the Lighthouse Christian Prepatory School selected "Team Christina" during her blind audition Tuesday night.

For being so young, you'd never guess her age by the power she possess in her voice and dedication she has to crafting her skill.

Earlier in the week Travis Ewing, from Lafayette, moved on in the competition as well. We wish both Acadiana natives the best in their journey on "The Voice." They have already represented us so well on NBC.
