Lafayette Detectives Asking For Information About A Shooting

Lafayette Police working the downtown Jefferson Street detail responded when shots were fired near Jefferson and Cypress Streets just after 2 o'clock Sunday morning.

Three people had been shot.

A 34-year-old man from Rayne was shot in the head and remains in critical condition.

Police say another shooting victim, a 22-year-old Lafayette man, was shot in the neck.  He is said to be in good condition.

The third victim, a 20-year-old man from Grand Coteau, was shot in the hand.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the Lafayette Police Department or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS
