Lafayette High & LaGrange Forced To Forfeit Upcoming Game Due To Suspensions
In the final moments of last Friday's game between LaGrange and Lafayette High, with LaGrange leading the Might Lions 24-7, a benches clearing fight occurred.
The LHSAA has suspended every player from both teams for a game, forcing the Gators and Lions to forfeit their upcoming games this Friday. A formal announcement from the LHSAA is expected sometime today.
LaGrange was scheduled to play at Acadiana, while Lafayette High was set to travel to Sam Houston.
Lafayette High head coach Rob Pool, who was ejected by referees for arguing officiating in the 2nd quarter of the game and was not on the field during the brawl, said his team will begin preparing for the season finale a week from Friday against Acadiana High this week.
