United Blood Services will bring their bloodmobile to the circle in front of Lafayette High School this Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. for a student.

Gifted student Grace Turner is 14-years-old, and she was in go kart accident that required her to use blood.

The blood drive will be in Grace's name.  Officials say a monetary credit will be issued to be used towards the girl's hospital bill.

The people at United Blood Services remind residents that an accident can happen at anytime, and that is why they suggest you make blood donation a regular part of your scheduled events.

For more information on the blood drive, you can call UBS at 337-593-7365.
