At last night's Lafayette Consolidated Government council meeting, the Lafayette Regional Airport Commission gave the council a positive report on progress being made thanks to a voter-approved tax collected last year.

On this week's installment of Lafayette Live, LCG Council Chairman Jay Castille joined Rob and Bernie in studio to discuss the airport and other topics brought before the council last night.

Castille said the one-cent sales tax that was collected from April through November 2015 raised more than $32 million that will be dedicated to the construction of a new terminal and other improvements.

The chairman also spoke about improvements to the city, and parish's, recycling program that are being made at no costs to taxpayers.
