Lafayette Parish School Board To Address Use Of Cell Phones On Campuses
Cell phones may soon be allowed on campuses throughout Lafayette Parish. The Lafayette Parish School Board may revise their current provision on cell phone usage when they meet this Wednesday night.
The current provision prohibits cell phones on campuses throughout the parish, but that may soon change. School Board officials are considering allowing students to use cell phones for instructional purposes and during lunch breaks.
If changes are made Wednesday night, middle school students within Lafayette Parish would be allowed to have cell phones on campus, while elementary students would not be allowed to have them in their possession.
Should students be allowed to carry cell phones on campus? That has been the ongoing debate for years. Let us know how you feel about this issue in the comment section below.
