Lafayette Police Announce Trick or Treating Times For The City of Lafayette

Lafayette Police have announced that Trick or Treating times for the city of Lafayette and all Halloween festivities in the city of Lafayette will happen on October 31st.

Halloween will be celebrated between the hours of 6pm and 8pm on October 31st within the city limits of Lafayette. Other cities may have different times/dates, therefore we encourage you to look into the times where you may live.

Lafayette Police want you and your kids to be safe this Halloween season, thus they have offered the following tips when out celebrating Halloween:

• Chose costumes that are bright in color and if need be, add reflective tape to darker costumes.
• All children should remain under supervision by an adult.
• Carry a flashlight or some sort of illuminated device.
• Have children visit homes and neighborhoods they know. Avoid strangers homes.
• Parents should inspect all candy before children consume.
• Give and accept candy that is wrapped or packaged.
• Construct Halloween props out of cardboard. Avoid using metal or wood.
• Drive cautiously where kids may be trick or treating
• NEVER Drink & Drive.
