Lil Wayne’s Bus Driver Suing Cash Money for Damages From Highway Shooting

In November 2015, rapper PeeWee Roscoe was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting up Lil Wayne's tour bus in Georgia. Now, the bus driver is suing Roscoe, Birdman, Young Thug, Cash Money and Young Money, according to Courthouse News Service.

Bus driver Alvin Lewis filed the lawsuit in Cobb County State Court on Nov. 16. According to the complaint, an argument arose on April 26, 2015 between Roscoe’s crew and Lil Wayne’s crew after a performance at Atlanta's Compound nightclub. During the confrontation, Roscoe allegedly threatened Weezy by telling him, “This is my city, keep fucking around and I’ll spray the bus.”

Police escorted Wayne's bus until it left Fulton County; however, Roscoe pursued in his white Chevrolet Camaro and fired multiple shots into the buses, Lewis claims. The lawsuit states, “When the white Camaro pulled beside the buses, gunshots were fired at the 12 individuals in the buses, from the white Camaro with a .40 caliber handgun and a 9mm handgun." The shooting in question took place on I-285 near Atlanta.

It's interesting to note that, in addition to suing Roscoe, Baby, Thugger and Cash Money, Lewis is also going after Young Money Entertainment, which is of course Tunechi's record label. It's all a bit confusing: Wayne's own label is getting sued for an incident that involved Weezy getting shot at.

The shooting resulted in over $20,000 in damages to the buses, according to Lewis’ complaint. Lewis says he has "suffered and continues to suffer substantial and continuing pain, anguish, suffering, discomfort, medical expenses, lost personal and professional property, and lost wages.” The bus driver is seeking an unspecified amount of money in the lawsuit.
