Lil Wayne is headed to UL-Lafayette to thank students for giving back to their community with a free show on Monday, April 18th.

Nope—this isn't an April Fool's joke.

Weezy partnered with TIDAL for a college-focused philanthropy project called "Social Wave For Change" in order to bring people together for a good cause.

The New Orleans-born rapper knows that college students are usually glued to their phones, so he wanted to use social media—along with his loyal fan base—to energize young people to get out and make a difference in their respective community.

Six finalists were chosen, and submissions ranged from toy drives to feeding the less fortunate, but out of the six universities in the finals our very own University of Louisiana at Lafayette was chosen as the winner!

I'm psyched to announce University of Louisiana - Lafayette as the winning university. I can't wait to head over there on April 18 to thank these young individuals for all the work they put in to do some good for the needy. I'm pumped to put on an epic performance, which will also be live streamed on Tidal.com for all y'all to see!

What a great look for UL-Lafayette and a great reward for the students and their good deeds, working together to donate nearly 7,000 bottles of water to those affect in Flint, MI.

Other than the date of the show, there are no details at the time of this post, but you can read Wayne's entire piece on the Huffington Post here.

We'll keep you updated with details on the concert. GEAUX CAJUNS!
