Watch Lloyd Banks Freestyle Over Nas’ “New York State of Mind” for Funkmaster Flex

Funkmaster Flex has been providing MCs a space to spit that heat. And they are doing just that. The latest rapper to blaze the booth is Lloyd Banks, who recently went in at Hot 97, rhyming over Nas' "New York State of Mind."

The G-Unit rapper was the most requested artist by fans to come back to the show, according to Flex, and he didn't disappoint spitting a four-minute freestyle that shows why he has been touted as the Punch Line King. Keeping up with current events, he even drops a slick line referencing the Migos' near scuffle with Joe Budden, and also throws a jab at mumble rap toward the end.

"Um, there's a new bar set up here, bruh," Flex comments after Banks closes out his performance.

The Queens MC follows Action Bronson who recently made an appearance on Flex's show and snapped over JAY-Z's "A Million and One Questions," while pleading with his label to put his album out.

Banks hasn't lost a step and clearly still has the hunger for more. He is working on his fourth solo album, the follow up to his 2010 project, H.F.M. 2 (The Hunger for More 2). The last 12 months have been life changing for the PLK. Last December, his first child was born. In February, he lost his grandmother.
