Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival is September 21 – 25

The 75th annual Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival will be held in New Iberia September 21 - 25, and this family friendly event is one of the highlights of the year in Iberia parish!

In addition to the Mitchell Bros Street Fair at the Pepperplex on Sucrose Drive, there is a 4H Livestock Show and Sale, a Garden show, Photography show, Arts and crafts, great local food, and, of course, fantastic local entertainment.

New to the Sugar Cane Festival this year is 'Farm Fest', which will be held at Shadows on the Teche on Thursday from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm with children's activities, a petting zoo, games and prizes, and entertainment by '2 in the Chamber'. Admission is $10 for the entire family.

The historic Farmers Day, Blessing of the Crop, judging for best decorated business or home front, fais do do, and fireworks display, is Friday, September 23. Live entertainment on Friday is Side Show and Bag of Donuts.

Saturday entertainment is The Bad Boys, Geno Delafose and French Rockin' Boogie, and Jet 7.
