Man Dead After Crowley Shooting

Crowley Police have launched an investigation after an early morning shooting has left a man dead.

The shooting happened around 2:00 am. this morning in the 1400 block of West Northern Avenue near Buatt Street.  The victim, 23-year-old Ryan Gums of Crowley, died after being shot.

Crowley Police says the victim had several gunshot wounds in the upper torso.

The victim was taken to a hospital, but he died from his injuries.  Officers say they did recover several casings at the scene of the shooting, but they have no suspect in the case as of this time.
