How much trust do you put into your GPS?

Iftikhar Hussain of Chicago put so much trust into his GPS that he didn't heed the 'road closed' warning signs. He just drove around them, eventually driving off a bridge falling 37 feet down to the pavement below. The car was engulfed in flames, taking the life of his wife.

According to Daily Mail, Hussain and his wife were apparently on their way to visit relatives. They got lost while trying to find their relative's house and started following their GPS directions. He bypassed several barricades blocking the road and drove his car right off the bridge.

His wife died instantly, but Hussain made his way out of the burning car and sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Here is a little twist to this story.

While the Cline Ave. bridge was being built in 1982, it collapsed, killing 14 workers. Eventually, the bridge was closed in 2009 due to deterioration by the Department of Transportation and condemned the following year.  It was scheduled to be rebuilt April but this recent incident has delayed the work.
