Married Couple For 72 Years Dies Holding Hands

This is the truest tale of a love story.

A tragic ending, but the couple of Gordon and Norma Yeager believed in the phrase 'Til death do you part'.  An Iowa couple after 72 long years of marriage passed away just one hour apart from one another holding hands.  The family of the beloved couple has said that this is a TRUE real-life love story.  72 years of marriage may seem like a life time to some, but the truth is that you can not put a number on love.  According to Dennis Yeager, the youngest of the siblings, you could never separate the two of them,

They just loved being together. Everybody argues once in awhile, but they still, he said 'I have to stick around. I can't go until she does because I have to stay here for her and she would say the same thing."

The couple was leaving to go to town one day, but unfortunately never actually made it due to a car accident.  After being rushed into ICU together, Gordon Yeager passed away that afternoon holding hands with his wife of 72 years, Norma Yeager, who passed one hour later.
