The Lafayette location of Mellow Mushroom is closing its doors.

We ran across the Facebook post a former employee of The Mellow Mushroom asking people to go visit before the restaurant closes for good this Sunday.

To confirm the rumor, we called Mellow Mushroom, and the employee who answered the phone did confirm that the restaurant will be closing for good this Sunday, June 4th.

What is wrong with this location? It seems that nothing lasts here. Toucan's, Bootie's, Bako's, Serrano's—none of them lasted for more than a few years.

Is it the parking? Is it the shape of the building? Is it the location? Is there a curse on this corner? Why does nothing last here?
