The city of New Orleans and the New Orleans Saints debuted the new light show outside of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in downtown New Orleans. Hundreds of people filled Champions Square in New Orleans on Thursday night to watch the official unveiling of the Superdome's new lighting system.

Hundreds of Saints fans watched from inside the newly constructed Champions Square near the dome as the $1.6 million state of the art lighting system was put to work.

The 14-minute light display was illuminated to tunes like the unofficial Saints "Get Crunk" anthem. Images displayed Mardi Gras, winter holiday, and patriotic themes. The Saints host the Colts this Sunday, Oct. 23rd, on NBC's Nationally Televised Sunday Night Football.
