Migos have been tagged as this generation’s Beatles, which is preposterous enough, but the Georgia rap trio are now comparing themselves to another illustrious group -- OutKast.

In an interview with Paper magazine, the “Fight Night” rappers named their musical influence including Gucci Mane and Lil Wayne while putting them in the same league as Andre 3000 and Big Boi.

“We kind of like the new Outkast. They're comparing us to the Beatles. They're comparing us to legendary people,” said Quavo. “We didn't grow up listening to them but we knew of these people. We just wanted to be in that same name bracket. The people we grew up watching and listening to -- Outkast, Gucci Mane, Hot Boys, Lil Wayne, Master P -- all that type of stuff, we took those styles and made it our own.”

"We like the Transformers, we come together from different scenes," adds Takeoff.

Of course, rap fans rolled their eyes when they caught wind of Migos' proclamations and expressed their shock and awe on Twitter.

“Migos compared themselves to OutKast... thats disrespectful,” tweeted one commenter. Another fan wrote, Migos really ain't say they were the new outkast...I know yall just trolling.”

We’ll see if Migos are truly the heir apparent to OutKast when they drop their debut album Y.R.N.: The Album on June 16 via Quality Control Music/300. The collection features guest appearances from Meek Mill, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown.
