Moss Honda Now Has a New Owner and Name

Moss Honda on Surrey Street in Lafayette is now operating under a new name -- Community Honda.

The Community Auto Group has purchased the location and, thus, changed the name to Community Honda of Lafayette.

Roger and Kim Elsick, who own Community Honda Group, also own three dealerships down the road in Baytown, Texas.

The good news is that the new owners are retaining all the Moss Honda employees who wanted to stay, according to General Manager Brad Childress.

"We are family owned and we want to treat people like family," Childress told KLFY TV-10. "We believe that the customer is the boss and no one else."

A banner displaying the new name has been draped over the existing Moss logo until new signage is made.
