MTV’s ‘Teen Mom’ Amber Portwood Hospitalized After Alleged Suicide Attempt

Reports are surfacing this evening that MTV's Teen Mom star Amber Portwood is in the hospital right now as a result of an alleged suicide attempt. While details are still unclear, a close friend of Amber's told OK! magazine that Amber is currently stabilized and awake. She also added that Amber had been taking morphine recently to deal with the pressure of her custody situation with her daughter Leah.Leah has been with her dad Gary Shirley. Another source says that she can't handle only being able to see Leah once a week for an hour while being monitored by CPS. MTV released a statement earlier

Our understanding is that Amber has been admitted to a local hospital but we have not been able to confirm the accuracy of any reports being circulated and are waiting for further details. Our thoughts are with her and we hope to hear more soon.
