New Crosswalk At UL Campus Is First Of Its Kind [VIDEO]
A very unique and first of its kind crosswalk has been installed on McKinley St. near the student union on the UL campus.
When students press the crosswalk button the signal turns yellow advising motorists to prepare to stop. Once the crosswalk starts counting down letting people know how much time they have left, the red traffic light facing motorists will start blinking.
If the intersection is clear the motorists are allowed to proceed.
The city and the university want you to know that motorists will be issued a citation for not following the signal properly.
