New Orelans is quickly becoming an entertainment hub in the country, and now New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu wants CBS to bring "The Late Show" to his city.

David Letterman recently announced that he will be retiring next year, and the network has already named his replacement, Stephen Colbert. Now, the mayor of New Orleans wants his city to be the new home of the popular talk show, and he isn't just preaching it from city hall.

Mayor Landrieu has reached out to CBS Executives as he tries to "sell" his city for the new home for the show. He notes that New Orleans is great place for young entertainment and has even brought up how much the entertainment industry can benefit from tax breaks in Louisiana.

We too hope that NOLA lands the show. It would be awesome to have our wonderful state featured every week on the late night television circuit. By the way, we think Bourbon St. would be a GREAT place for nightly bits on the show.
