Facebook

The New Orleans Police Department have named 19-year-old Akein Scott a suspect in the horrific Mother’s Day shooting that left 20 people injured.

The suspect is still at large, but police say that they have several sources pointing to Scott as the shooter in the 7th-Ward Neighborhood. The shooting took place during a second line celebration on Mother’s Day.

NOPD Chief Ronal Serpas says police are still investigating whether or not Scott acted alone or with help at the second line shooting that left 20 people wounded, including two children.

Police are asking for the 19-year-old to turn himself in, but if you know of the whereabouts of the suspect, Police ask that you call Crimestoppers at 822-1111.
