Zendaya has accomplished a remarkable feat with the help of Mattel. The toy company has created a Barbie doll in her likeness -- dreads and melanin included. But it seems that a few other celebrities are trying to steal her shine.

Nicki Minaj decided to congratulate the 19-year-old singer on Instagram, but the Barbz leader brought the spotlight back on herself by mentioning that she had a doll of her own createdl in 2011.

"Congrats on your doll, Zendaya! Did u know Barbie made me one a cpl years back? It was such an honor & a HUGE surprise. Anyway, I love your doll's hair! I love what it means for other little girls who will identify with it & be empowered. Continue to be proud of yourself girls!!!!!" the Pinkprint creator wrote. She also uploaded a split photo of the two dolls to say they should be marketed with "matching bff cars" and a matching dreamhouse too.

The Disney actress kept it classy and responded to the "Feeling Myself" rapper by simply stating that "representation is important." She also retweeted Nicki's suggestion to matching accessories.

But Twitter users aren't having it, calling Minaj's remarks a "backhanded compliment."

"Nicki Minaj congratulated Zendaya on her doll while making it about herself. I can't stand people like that," tweeted one fan. "Still rolling my eyes at how Nicki inserting herself into Zendaya's spotlight," tweeted another.

Others compared the rapper's statement to Demi Lovato's call to the Barbie creators to make a doll curvy like her. "Nicki and Demi couldn't let Zendaya shine. Not even for a weekend," one woman. wrote

Another Twitter user claimed that Minaj's actions were worse than Lovato's complaint. "Nicki literally promoted her own barbie under her picture about Zendaya's doll and people dragged Demi for asking for a curvy barbie."

Images of Zendaya's barbie surfaced on Saturday (Sept. 26) at the Barbie Rock 'n Royals Concert Experience in Hollywood. The singer also uploaded photos of her mini version via Instagram on Sunday (Sept. 27).

"When I was little I couldn't find a Barbie that looked like me, my...how times have changed. Thank you @barbie for this honor and for allowing me to be apart of your diversification and expansion of the definition of beauty. Can't wait to keep doing amazing things with you," she wrote in the caption.
