Nike Releases Kanye West’s Air Yeezy 2 By Surprise, Sells Out In Minutes

Kanye spoke of his frustrations with Nike in his numerous rants toward the end of 2013, saying that Nike tried to downplay the importance of his design work, and it's influence on pop culture.

West later apologized to Nike for the comments, but not until after he inked a deal with Adidas.

A shoe selling out within 11 minutes of a surprise tweet announcing its release makes Kanye seem pretty influential, if you ask me.

I can't wait to see those ridiculous eBay prices.
