It will be collection as usual this Monday, September 5, 2016 even though Labor Day is a traditional holiday for most people in America.

Lafayette Government says the Republic Services will not be changing their regular schedule for recycling and garbage collection due to the holiday.

So, if you have garbage and recycling collection on Mondays, you can put your containers curbside for pick up this Monday.

LCG does want residents to know that the Compost Facility at 400 Dugas Road will NOT be open on Monday, but will return to normal business hours on Tuesday, September 6.

LCG says Republic Services reports the same schedule for their other customers in Acadiana.
