Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s Son Watched His Dad Do Drugs Hours Before Overdose

Ol' Dirty Bastard's son revealed that he watched his father get high the day that ODB overdosed. In an interview with Vlad TV, Ol' Dirty Bastard Jr. explained that his father forced him to watch as the Wu-Tang Clan member did drugs.

"The last time he was here, he got as high as he could ever get," ODB Jr. said. "[He passed away] that night. He got as high as he could ever get. He told me to sit there and watch him. Eye-to-eye, we did that. Then that was it."

ODB Jr. said that he was at RZA's 36 Chambers studio, where Ol' Dirty Bastard would later collapse, on that infamous day. ODB Jr. detailed how his father made him sit on a couch in another area as he was not allowed in the studio.

"He said, 'Sit right there and watch me get high," ODB Jr. said. "He didn't basically say it, but he told me I couldn't move nowhere. Just for that final moment. He didn't want to go up there to the studio. He was like, 'I don't wanna go up there.' He was seeing things before it happened. Like there's angels around him and shit."

ODB Jr. told DJ Vlad that it was the first time he ever saw his Ol' Dirty Bastard get high.

"I used to smoke weed when I was younger, but this was different," ODB Jr. replied. "My father doing it in front of me and looking dead in my eye. It was time; time to elevate."

Ol' Dirty Bastard's son would eventually leave with his cousin and get the call that his father passed away later that night. You can watch the entire interview with ODB Jr. above.
