One Person In Custody After School Shooting In Taft, California

One or more people may have been shot at Taft Union High School in California after a student fired shots on the campus.

According to the Taft Independent, the suspected gunman, a student, has been taken into police custody. An injured student has been flown to Kern Medical Center. The shooting happened this morning, and about 20 minutes after the shooting, police were able to apprehend the alleged shooter. According to sources, the alleged gunman had a shotgun in his possession.

Taft is located about 30 miles west southwest of Bakersfield, CA.
