Oregon Runner Gets Passed At Finish Line As Result Of Celebrating Too Early [VIDEO]

Oregon's Tanguy Pepiot learned that it really isn't over until it's over after being passed at the finish line while he prematurely celebrated.

The Oregon senior from France was so close to the finish line of the steeplechase event at the three-team Pepsi Team Invite, he could almost taste it. Pepiot began to wave his hands to fire up the crowd as he jogged toward the finish line—certain he would take first in the race—when Washington's Meron Simon blazed past him and won the race.

Pepiot was embarrassed and distraught, but hopefully this was a "teachable moment."
