March 20, 2012 TMZ is reporting that "The Situation" from MTV's hit show Jersey Shore has checked himself into a rehab facility for substance abuse problems. Sources are reporting that Mike Sorrentino has checked himself into an inpatient treatment facility. Still, his rep would not confirm or deny that he, Mike, was in a treatment facility, but did say he has been at an undisclosed location to recover and recoup from a very busy schedule.
If you can’t stand the ‘Jersey Shore‘ cast and hoped recent news of Snooki’s pregnancy would mess up MTV’s plans for the hit show, guess what, your prayers have not been answered. In fact MTV has stated the show must go on, and with a pregnant Snooki, the only thing we may not see in the upcoming sixth season is the pint-sized mother-to-be doing the ‘Jersey Turnpike’ at Karma.

Perhaps that’s why Hoboken, NJ’s mayor Dawn Zimmer has shot down plans for a ‘Jersey Shore’ spinoff, which would’ve seen JWoww and Snooki renting an apartment in the city.
