If you plan on attending the UL Football Spring Football game this weekend, you will notice that construction is underway at Cajun Field.

The construction, which is all part of the UL Athletic Master Plan, has started in the south end zone of the stadium and much of the grass that was once present is now gone. The master plan calls for $115 Million in renovations to several of the UL athletic facilities.

University Athletics Director Scott Farmer says, “Our goal is to have the facilities to allow the Ragin’ Cajuns athletic programs to continue to grow and compete against the nation’s best.

With the renovations, Cajun Field could possibly one day seat in excess of 60,000 fans in the stadium, making it one of the largest in the conference. Much of the funds for these projects are coming from private donors and from those joining the Ragin Cajun Athletic Foundation (RCAF).
