Phil Robertson Snubs Barbara Walters For Ducks

Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson skipped out on a meeting with Barbara Walters after being named to Walters' Most Fascinating People of 2013 list. The reason for the snub... it's duck season.

It turns out the Robertson clan's duck obsession portrayed on Duck Dynasty is not just a show for the cameras.

Phil's wife Kay Robertson remarked that this isn't the first time Phil has turned down other obligations to go duck hunting.

Oh yes. Between, uh, November and January, I told him I didn’t ever plan to die then, because, he may not be at my funeral. - Kay Robertson

Phil told reporters that no disrespect was meant by the snub, but ducks come first during duck season.

Walters took the whole situation in stride remarking to Fox411, "tell him I have never been superseded by a duck before".
