After dropping arguably the best song of the summer in 2017 with "Magnolia," off his self-titled mixtape, people have been wondering what to expect next from Playboi Carti. Just like that, his debut album, Die Lit, arrives on our laps on Friday (May 11), featuring guest appearances from Nicki Minaj, Lil Uzi Vert and more.

If you're wondering where this came from, you're not alone. The Atlanta rapper just officially announced the album on Thursday (May 10) via Twitter with the simple post: "CARTI ALBUM @ 12* +am ok!"

However, we had some signs that the LP was coming soon. In March, frequent collaborating producer Pi'erre Bourne teased that the project had been finalized on Twitter. "Somebody from the label wants me to tweet Carti's albums done," the beat maker tweeted out on March 30. The cryptic tweet caught the eye of Executive Vice President of Interscope Joie Manda who responded, "Who?" Bourne then simply replied, "Me."

No more details were given. But just over a week ago, Carti released the Travis Scott collab "Love Hurts." Now, Carti season is officially here.

The debut LP has 19 cuts. Along with the previously-mentioned cameos, Young Thug, Chief Keef, Bryson Tiller, Young Nudy and more have guest spots on the album. Pi'erre Bourne production is littered throughout.
