Update: 28-year-old Joshua Babineaux has been arrested and charged with Armed Robbery in a sandwich shop robbery in November.

Lafayette Police spokesman Corporal Paul Mouton says Joshua Babineaux is one of two black male suspects who went into the business armed with a shotgun and stole an undisclosed amount of money. Police are still trying to identify the second suspect. Call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at (337) 232-TIPS if you have any information.

A sandwich shop in the 200 block of Donlon Street was robbed Tuesday night and Lafayette Police need your help trying to catch the two suspects.

LPD Spokesperson Corporal Paul Mouton says officers were called out around 7:35 and were told the two robbers entered the business wearing dark clothing, gloves and had bandanas covering their faces. Mouton says one of the suspects was armed with a shotgun and demanded money from the employees. The two thieves then stole an undisclosed amount of cash and got away, running towards Moss Street.
