While rappers and actors alike are protesting and making comment on the lack of minority representation at the 2016 Oscars, the Screen Actors Guild Awards held on Saturday (Jan. 30) honored several minority actors and actresses, Queen Latifah among them. The rapper turned actor took home her third SAG award, winning Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries category, for her role as Bessie Smith in HBO’s Bessie.

“I’m in shock right now,” Latifah said during her acceptance speech. “Thank you so much!” She later added: “I hope that anyone out there who does not come in the package people say you should. Keep fighting for it. Flip those rocks over. Keep pushing, keep turning. You can do it. You build your own boxes, not people. So knock that thing away, and do you!”

Latifah had previously won SAG Awards in 2008 for for her role in the TV movie Life Support, and in 2003, for her role in the ensemble cast of Chicago. Idris Elba also won big at the 2016 ceremony, taking home two statues for Male Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries for Luther and Outstanding Male Actor Supporting for Beasts of No Nation. The cast of Straight Outta Compton was up for Best Cast in a Movie, but lost to Spotlight.

Neither Elba nor Latifah were nominated for an Academy Award, while Straight Outta Compton's lone nomination is for Best Original Screenplay. The 88th Academy Awards will air on Feb. 28 with host Chris Rock, though he's been asked by 50 Cent and others to reconsider in light of all acting nominations going to white actors and actresses.
