A customer at Huck Finn's Cafe—a restaurant in the French Quarter of New Orleans—is upset after finding a racial slur printed on her receipt.

The woman was dining with co-workers at the restaurant on Decatur Street, and at the end of their meal she noticed the racial slur printed on her paper receipt.

The waiter referred to the woman using the N-word, and also added the words "100% dislike" underneath the slur on the receipt.

There is no information on whether or not there was some type of dispute between the customer and the waiter, but according to WDSU the customer sent back a fish platter and a salad which is noted by the $16 discount on the receipt.

Once the receipt was posted online it quickly went viral, as many were outraged that something so blatant could actually take place. When WDSU visited Huck Finn's Cafe on Decatur in the French Quarter, the manager refused to do an on-camera interview, but confirmed that the waiter involved had been fired.

The restaurant quickly issued a statement on their website in response to the incident.

Huck Finn’s Cafe is shocked and appalled at the actions of one of its employees, who was terminated immediately after management found out they violated company policy. Huck Finn’s Cafe is committed to treating everyone, employees and customers alike, with dignity and respect. The unfortunate actions of this one employee do not mirror the mission of Huck Finn’s Cafe’s firm non-discrimination policy, and we are extremely apologetic for any inconvenience this may have caused. We have been serving customers from around the world for more than 6 years, and our employees work their hardest to go above and beyond to ensure visitors have a pleasant and respectful experience at Huck Finn’s Cafe.

The woman says she doesn't believe the apology is sincere and is still going to seek legal counsel.
