If you're reading this, it's not a dream…the Cajuns have won their first Bowl game in the history of the university. In one of the most amazing comebacks the Cajuns have ever done, 35 seconds on the clock proved to be just enough time for UL quarterback Blaine Gauthier, Javone Lawson, Harry Peoples and Brett Baer (as well as the offensive line) to pull out a miraculous victory over San Diego State. Here's a video recap leading up to and following the Cajuns victory in New Orleans

The Invite

It's been a while since the Cajuns had a date for Bowl season. After a 41 year drought, Mark Hudspeth and the Ragin Cajun Football team put up their best regular season record in years, and subsequently got invited to the dance in New Orleans at the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.

Before The Game

Prior to the game, UL was the underdog, facing one of the top running backs and a potential NFL QB for the Aztecs of San Diego State. The fact that they were not the favorite didn't bother coach Hudspeth too much.

Post Game Wrap Up

After a 41 year drought of Bowl Game appearances, not only did the Cajuns show up, they stayed for the entire dance (including the final 35 seconds), had breakfast at Cafe Du Monde and relished the first Bowl victory in the history of the university.
