Yesterday, Sunday, Arizona Cardinal Rashad Johnson lost the upper part of his middle finger during the game against the New Orleans Saints. According to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, Johnson lost the top of his left middle finger during yesterday’s loss to the Saints.

Johnson was not aware of the injury until he took his glove off and noticed that a part of his middle finger was gone!!! The injury sustained was down to the bone, and Johnson has since undergone surgery for this bizarre injury.

Johnson had surgery last night, and because the bone was exposed, there’s a concern about infection. The injury apparently happened when he tackled a Saints player, Darren Sproles, during the game in which the Cardinals lost 31-7 to the New Orleans Saints.
