MTV was prepared to run the 2015 Video Music Awards with a delay in the event Miley Cyrus went off the rails. As for Rebel Wilson? Guess they didn't see her coming.

Wilson, a onetime MTV Movie Awards host, sent FCC censors into overdrive when, on tonight's show, she assumed the stage to present the award for Best Hip Hop Video. Dressed in head-to-toe police garb, Wilson was ostensibly ready to tear into the atrocities of police brutality when she took one hell of a left turn and decried police strippers, instead.

Sporting a shirt that read "F--- Tha Stripper Police," Wilson canvassed against exotic dancers who are dressed as the Five-O, but prove to be something else entirely. Guess she's not among Magic Mike's many devoted fans...

"I hate this injustice!" she snarkily lamented just before announcing the nominees. Nicki Minaj ultimately walked (danced) away with the Moonman, but Wilson walked away with the distinction of one of the most jaw-dropping moments in the show's recent history. And, considering her company tonight, that's definitely saying something. Your move, Miss Miley.

"Jokes = talking = awareness = action (hopefully)," Wilson captioned the Instagram photo she posted afterward. Let's certainly hope so.
