Safaree claims that Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill's relationship began while he was still dating Nicki. In an interview with Wendy Williams, Safaree blamed Meek for the breakup and accused Nicki of infidelity during the recording of her 2014 album The Pinkprint.

"Meek, he had a lot to do with it with me and her breaking up," Safaree told Williams around the 7:10 mark of the interview. "The last album, whether people know or not, I was a part of the whole creating process up until the last month and a half of it. Because in the last month, we were just going through all the songs and stuff and then I found out that there was two songs with him on the album."

Safaree said he had an intuition that the collaborations were becoming romantic behind the scenes. Still, he admitted that he and Nicki's relationship was already souring, so it was only a matter of time before they split.

During the interview, Safaree also touched on the beef between Remy Ma and Nicki. The reality star gave his input on some of Remy's claims, such as Nicki using a ghostwriter. Safaree confirmed his involvement behind the scenes, though he did not specifically say he wrote anything.

"As far as that whole process goes, it was a collaborative process," he said around 2:38 mark. "She doesn't sit there and do absolutely nothing, but I definitely was a helping force in everything that had to do with creating music."
