The New Orleans Saints' offensive line looks like it is going to be getting a lot stronger very soon.

Veteran center Max Unger, who many consider the anchor of the team's offensive front, passed a physical on Thursday, and is now eligible to begin practicing on Friday.

The 31-year old Unger had been on the physically unable to perform list since undergoing foot surgery in May.

Originally, it was reported that Unger was expected to be in 5 months.

A native of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, Unger was acquired by the Saints in 2015 from the Seattle Seahawks, in a trade for tight end Jimmy Graham.

The 6-foot--5, 305-pound Unger, a two-time Pro Bowler while with the Seahawks (2012 & 2013), has started 31 games at center for the Saints over the past two seasons.
