A player at a position of need for the New Orleans Saints is expected to test the free agent market.

Cornerback Sterling Moore is expected to shop around his services when the free agency signing period begins on Thursday, meaning that he likely won't re-sign with the Saints until he sees what other organizations have to offer.

Moore, who reports say still wants to re-sign with the Saints, compiled 56 tackles and two interceptions in 12 starts for the team last season.

Saints head coach Sean Payton listed cornerback as one of the top priorities for the Saints this offseason.

Delvin Breaux and P.J. Williams, the two projected starters at cornerback for the Saints last season, were limited to 8 games, combined, due to injuries.

The 27-year old Moore spent 2015 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, compiling 45 tackles and one interception in 16 games, including 9 starts.

An undrafted free agent out of SMU in 2011, Moore spent the 2011 season with the New England Patriots, before splitting 2012 between the Patriots and the Dallas Cowboys, with whom he spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons with.
