The depth chart is unofficial, and there are sure to be many changes between now and the regular season opener against the Minnesota Vikings on September 11.

For instance, Terron Armstead is listed as the starting left tackle, and he would/will be, if healthy.

Armstead suffered a torn labrum in June, which required surgery, and will force him to miss about half of the season.

It's interesting to see Mark Ingram and Arian Petersen are listed as co-starters at running back. They probably will be, so there's nothing wrong with it, but it's just interesting.

The things that stands out to me, defensively, is that Delvin Breaux is listed behind both Ken Crawley and P.J. Williams at cornerback.

That is more than likely a health thing. If/when Breaux proves that he's healthy, he'll likely surpass one of those guys on the depth chart.

Newcomer Manti Te'o is listed as a starter at middle linebacker, with another newcomer, A.J. Klein, and last year's leading tackler, Craig Robertson, flanking him.

Again, preseason depth charts are fun to see and talk about, but they shouldn't be taken too seriously. A lot can change, and often does.

The Saints open their 2017 preseason schedule on Thursday evening, when they travel to Cleveland to face the Browns.
