NBC33 is reporting that more than two dozen students from Sandy Hook Elementary School are heading to New Orleans this weekend to take part in some of the pregame festivities prior to Super Bowl XLVII.

The students, from the small school in Connecticut, will reportedly perform in the Superdome just before the kickoff this Sunday. The kids are schedule to perform “America the Beautiful” just before kick-off.

The kids will be representing the small school in Connecticut that is still recovering from the tragic events that led to twenty children and six adult staff members being gunned down inside the school on December 15th of 2012.
