This is one of those stories that starts off sad and ends up a miracle.

Meet Graycie, a rescue dog that is being taken care of at Granite Hills Animal Care in Elberton, Ga. She came in emaciated, dehydrated, hypothermic, and with an extremely painful prolapse. In other words, barley alive.

Dr. Mathis said he almost put her down because of all the pain she was experiencing.

But, Dr. Mathis wanted a better life for Graycie, so he brought her to the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia.

He wanted to try an experiment to get her to eat. In the video above you can see Dr. Mathis sitting with Graycie and eating breakfast with her.

Here is Graycie's latest picture, which proves with a little TLC you can sometimes work miracles.
