School Closures Announced For May 4th

We are monitoring announcements of school closures this morning and will continue to update the list as they come in

So far, the only closures announced for Thursday May 4th are the following:

• All Public Schools In Jeff Davis Parish
• All Public Schools in Vermillion Parish
• Sacred Heart of Ville Platte
• No School in Evangeline Parish
• Maltrait Memorial Catholic School in Kaplan is closed
• Sam's Kids Safari in Abbeville - all locations - will be closed
• Vermilion Catholic and Mount Carmel in Abbeville will be closed today
• All Vermilion Parish Head Start centers and its central offices are closed

We should note here that Lafayette Parish Schools are OPEN today. Also opening their doors today will be Iberia Parish Schools and St. Martin Parish Schools.  

All St. Landry Parish public schools are open. With exception to Leonville Elementary because of electrical issues.

Should any more schools close this morning, we will announce here and on-air.
