Several Roads Closed In Scott Due To Flooding

This afternoon's heavy rains have caused some flash flooding in many areas of Acadiana.

Our news partner, KATC, reported water is receding very slowly in some areas. Barricades have been placed to restrict traffic from pushing water into residences.

The Scott Fire Department has closed the following streets and intersections as of 7 p.m. Saturday:

• 1700 Renaud Drive ( East of Billy Thibodeaux's RV)
• 800 Roger Road (in-between Heide Circle and Renaud Drive)
• Sunset Street( South of Cameron Street)
• 2300 W. Willow(In-between Pecan Grove and Ambassador Caffery)
• 100 Stephen Street

A large portion of Old Spanish Trail ranging from Breaux Street to Jenkins Road is CLOSED, including:

• Breaux Street@Old Spanish Trail
• Perez Street@Old Spanish Trail
• L Provost/@Old Spanish Trail
• Apollo Road@ Old Spanish Trail
• Jenkins@Old Spanish Trail
