If you've turned on the news or the internet in the last week you've probably seen people freaking out over Ebola—the exact people that Shepard Smith is warning us not to listen to.

While Ebola is a very deadly disease with symptoms that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemies, the truth is it poses very little risk to the United States. Nevertheless, people are calling on the government to do more, and suggesting things like banning all flights to and from countries stricken with Ebola.

Enter Shepard Smith, who only needed four minutes to tell us all to calm the hell down.

Unless a medical professional has contacted you personally and told you of some sort of possible exposure, fear not. Do not listen to the hysterical voices on the radio and the television or read the fear-provoking words online. The people who say and write hysterical things are being very irresponsible.

The Fox News anchor, unlike many of his colleagues remained level-headed as he continued,

We do not have an outbreak of Ebola in the United States. Nowhere. We do have two health-care workers who contracted the disease from a dying man. They are isolated. There is no information to suggest that the virus has spread to anyone in the general population in America — not one person in the general population in the United States.

The best thing you can do is share this anywhere you see any Ebola nonsense posts on the web—especially if its THAT guy.

Now if we could only get Shep to do this more often with other stories on Fox News.
